Our Story

The origins of Wells Electronics date back to 2012, when our electronics and technology operations began in Ireland under Herts and Wells Technologies Ltd.

From the outset, the business was built around technical problem-solving, electronics engineering and the repair of equipment that often required a level of diagnosis beyond straightforward parts replacement.

As our experience and customer base developed, the business became increasingly specialised in projector and professional audiovisual repair, including advanced fault diagnosis, component-level electronics repair and the servicing of increasingly complex projection technologies.

In 2018, Wells Electronics Ltd was incorporated in the United Kingdom, establishing the company structure under which the business operates today. This marked the beginning of a new phase of development, with an increasing focus on specialist projector and audiovisual engineering for customers throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland and the wider EMEA region.

Our Expertise

Over the years, our technical capabilities have expanded to encompass equipment ranging from domestic and professional projectors to sophisticated audiovisual systems used in cinema, flight and visual simulation, large venues, corporate environments, education, home cinema, houses of worship, museums and visitor attractions, rental and staging, and professional AV installations.

Our workshop experience covers manufacturers including Barco, Christie, Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Epson, BenQ, Optoma, Digital Projection and many others.

Our engineering team specialises in component-level repair, meaning we investigate faults at board, component and subsystem level, helping customers extend the working life of equipment that might otherwise be considered uneconomical or difficult to repair.

Our Facilities

Both of our service centres feature ESD-safe clean-room conditions for sensitive optical and electronic work. We maintain a comprehensive spare parts inventory for all major Barco projector families, enabling fast turnaround times.
