Common Cinema Faults & Error Codes
Cinema projectors run long hours in warm booths. These are the most frequent issues we resolve.
Light-Source Ignition Faults
Indicators: "Lamp strike failed", "Laser start-up error", or numeric codes associated with light-engine start-up.
Cause: Dead lamp, failed ballast/driver board, or open safety interlocks.
Temperature & Fan Errors
Indicators: Over-temperature warnings, fan-speed error entries, or protective shutdowns mid-show.
Cause: Dusty filters, restricted airflow in the booth, or failing fan bearings.
Electronics & Communication
Indicators: ICP/ICMP communication errors (Code 7669), Alchemy faults, or secure link failures.
Cause: Ageing power supplies causing voltage droop, or internal communication bus failures.
