How do I ship a large venue projector (UDX/Cinema)?
For heavy units (25kg+), we strongly recommend using the original flight case strapped to a pallet. We operate a dedicated pallet collection service via DHL freight. Important: You must remove the lens and pack it separately to prevent mount damage during transit.
Do you provide repairs for customers outside the UK?
Yes. We operate dual service centres: Doncaster for UK clients and Dublin for EU clients. This structure eliminates post-Brexit customs friction, ensuring fast, duty-free logistics for our European partners. Your equipment stays within its respective economic zone.
Can I drop equipment off personally?
Yes, by appointment. You are welcome to deliver equipment directly to our Doncaster or Dublin facilities. Please contact our team beforehand to obtain a booking reference number so your intake is processed immediately upon arrival.
Technical Capabilities
Do you perform component-level repair or just board swapping?
Our primary approach is component-level engineering. We repair Barco power supplies, ballasts, and mainboards at the circuit level (replacing capacitors, ICs, and MOSFETs) whenever economically and technically viable. This significantly reduces costs compared to purchasing new boards from the manufacturer.
Can you fix liquid cooling errors (Code 1151)?
Yes. We specialize in the UDX and F-Series liquid cooling architecture. We flush the cooling loop to remove sediment, replace the pump assembly, and vacuum-fill the system with fresh inhibited glycol to resolve overheating and pump failure errors.
Do you calibrate projectors after repair?
Absolutely. Every repair concludes with a full calibration to factory specifications. For laser units, we perform white point balancing. For DCI cinema units, we verify color compliance. For residential units, we can calibrate to Rec.709 or BT.2020 targets.
Do you use genuine Barco parts?
We prioritize genuine OEM parts for all critical components (optical engines, main processors, laser banks, phosphor wheels). For certain consumable electronics (standard fans, capacitors), we may use high-grade equivalents that meet or exceed the original specifications.
Warranty & Pricing
What is your standard warranty on repairs?
We provide a comprehensive 90-day warranty on all workmanship and replaced components. This covers both the labour involved and any parts replaced. If the same fault reoccurs within this period, we will rectify it free of charge, including logistics costs.
Is there an inspection fee?
We offer a free initial desktop assessment based on your logs and description. For physical bench diagnostics, a standard inspection fee applies to cover the engineer's time to dismantle and test. This fee is waived if you proceed with the quoted repair.
Do you offer trade accounts for integrators?
Yes. We partner with AV integrators, cinema chains, and facility management companies. Trade account holders benefit from priority bench slots, credit terms (subject to approval), and white-label reporting options.
